Wilkommen bei von Heer's Provost Korps! As the Provost Corps for the Continental Army and escort for General Washington, von Heer's represented one of the finest German-American units during the War for Independence 1775-1783. Recruited mainly from Pennsylvania Germans , von Heer's is a testament to the contribution made by those of German heritage to the founding of our nation.

Today we portray von Heer's Provost Corps at living history events, historic sites and battle reenactments. We drill and train in German, serve as the army's military police, provide an honor guard for visiting dignitaries and general officers, and provide an escort for General Washington when he is on the field. We are members of the Continental Line and the Brigade of the American Revolution. Explore our web site to learn more about von Heer's. See our Schedule of Events, take a look at our interactive training manual, or contact us about joining our ranks!
